THE BIRTH OF THE WFL

Nearly 30 years ago, a small group of teams participated in the first ever games hosted by the Metro Milwaukee Fastpitch League. As softball exploded across southeastern Wisconsin, the league quickly grew, providing excellent softball opportunities for thousands of players across 5 age divisions each summer. But softball grew even faster than the MMFL, and the need for a second league spurred the birth of the Milwaukee Girls Fastpitch League in 2007. For over a decade, both leagues successfully fostered the continued development of softball for players from Kenosha to Port Washington, Burlington to Hartford and everywhere in between. In 2019 it became clear that the best way to preserve the outstanding quality of summer league softball in the greater Milwaukee area was to combine resources, forming the

WISCONSIN FASTPITCH LEAGUE.

COVID-19 PRECAUTIONS

The WFL is committed to protecting the safety of all players, coaches, officials and spectators. Throughout the season, we will seek the advice of medical experts to guide us in making decisions about whether or not we can continue to play softball safely. At this time, all teams participating in the WFL are required to follow the COVID-19 guidelines found here:
